Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) 3ml

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is used in laboratories as a solvent for reconstituting lyophilised research peptides.

Use in research

Because of the added benzyl alcohol, bacteriostatic water inhibits bacterial growth, so a reconstituted solution stays usable longer under proper refrigerated storage than with plain sterile water. It is intended for laboratory and research use only.
